Mission Statement
The objective and purpose of the Varsity Club is to provide a membership organization for former letter-
winning athletes of Middle Tennessee State University to perpetuate the legacy, tradition and values
that come from participating in MTSU Athletics.
How We Accomplish Our Mission
The Varsity Club provides members with opportunities to attend special events with former teammates
and funds an annual scholarship to the son or daughter of a letterman.
The Varsity Club:
- hosts a pregame cookout/reception for former football players for the season-opening football game
- hosts an annual Legends Day during men’s and women’s basketball seasons, and baseball season
- hosts an annual golf tournament for members
- hosts an annual Hall of Fame induction weekend each year during football season
- funds an annual scholarship that goes to the son or daughter of a letterman
Facilities
The two-story Kennon Sports Hall of Fame Building houses the Blue Raider Sports Hall of Fame and
serves as a meeting place for former athletes to gather when they visit campus. It was built in 2004.
